Louisville vs Ole Miss 2

While the Rebels will offer a big challenge, this is a game the Cardinals should win. The Cardinals have been playing great zone defense in the last few games. This zone in tonights game should minimize penetration off the dribble. However it requires much awareness and hustling to open shooters. The Cardinals will also need to shoot a decent percentage from the field tonight, unlike against WKU. As all of us know, the easiest way to shoot a good percentage is by getting the ball inside, where we definitely will have an advantage. Also this will create open looks from the perimeter.

While the Cardinals won't gain much by winning this game, a loss would be devestating. As long as the Cards come out ready to play, they should win. GO CARDS.

Louisville vs Ole Miss

The Louisville Cardinals mens basketball team plays Ole Miss tonight in Cincinnati. This game should be one of there toughest tests of this young basketball season. The 9th ranked Cardinals come into the game with a 6-1 record, however there only loss to WKU was also there only game not in Freedom Hall. The Ole Miss Rebels are 7-3, 1-1 in road games.

The Rebels whom have lost to Utah, West Virginia, and New Mexico, have a high scoring backcourt with Chris Warren (19ppg), and David Huertas (21ppg). Huertas a transfer from Florida is shooting a sizzling 47% from three point range. Warren is a quick point guard who is good off the dribble. While the guards are good, I don't think that Ole Miss's frontcourt can match up with ours.

Samardo Samuels: A+ Samardo had a season high in rebounding 12, to go along with 21 points, 2 blocks, and 3 assists. He also went 9 of 10 from the free throw line. Hopefully he continues to rebound like today.

Edgar Sosa: C- Although I personally think that Edgar is the most efficient player we have at penetrating and creating, he often made bad decisions today, which led to turnovers. He had 7 points, 4 assists, and 3 turnovers today.

Jerry Smith: C Jerry did not impact the game very much today. He was in foul trouble most of the game and eventually did foul out. Ended with 9 points and a couple of steals. Need to stay on the court.

Preston Knowles: A+ Probably the reason we won today. Seemed like he couldn't miss today, and as always, came off the bench with great energy and defense.

Andre Mcgee: B Andre seems to be getting his shooting touch back. Hit some timely threes today in the first half. Also fun to see him dunk.

Yesterdays game: Austin Peay vs Louisville

Recap

Louisville played a great second half. Stopped giving up layups, and started defending better. Preston Knowles provided a spark off the bench by playing great pressure defense, getting steals, and making shots.

Player Grades

Terrence Williams: A Terrence played a very good game, scoring a season high 20 points. He dished out 8 assists, and would've gotten an A+ if he would have grabbed more than 5 rebounds. Over all for T-will a good game, shot a very high percentage, and was noticeable making an effort to penetrate more(although he only went to to foul line once going 1 for 2).

Earl Clark: D Earl did not have a good game. Scoring only six points in 34 minutes, as well as having 4 turnovers. He seems to be way to passive most of the time, hardly even tried to do anything today. The only reason he did not receive and F was because he grabbed 8 rebounds.
